Live Piano Music for Weddings
A wedding is one of life's most important celebrations, and live piano music adds a deeply personal and romantic touch. Our pianists can play during the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception, seamlessly transitioning between moments. From the bridal march to the first dance, a pianist creates an intimate atmosphere that recorded music simply cannot replicate. Popular wedding choices include Canon in D, River Flows in You, A Thousand Years, Can't Help Falling in Love and All of Me. Our pianists work closely with each couple to curate a bespoke playlist that tells their love story through music. For the cocktail hour, light jazz and pop ballads keep the mood elegant yet relaxed. At the reception, the energy builds with livelier arrangements and sing-along favourites.
Corporate Events and Private Parties
Piano music works equally well at corporate galas, product launches, formal dinners and birthday celebrations. Our pianists read the room and adjust their setlist to match the energy, whether you need relaxed background music or lively entertainment. For corporate events, a pianist performing during the welcome reception creates an immediate impression of quality and refinement. During dinner, the music stays conversational and unobtrusive. For the after-party or awards segment, the pianist can shift into higher gear with well-known pop and rock hits. Our pianists have performed for clients including DBS, OCBC, Google, Facebook, Deloitte and Singapore Airlines.
Hotel Lobby and Restaurant Performances
Many of Singapore's premier hotels and restaurants engage our pianists for regular lobby and dining performances. A resident pianist creates an ambiance of luxury that defines the guest experience. Whether it is a grand piano in a hotel lobby playing jazz standards or a baby grand in a fine-dining restaurant accompanying an evening of culinary excellence, our pianists understand the nuances of these settings. They maintain a relaxed, conversational volume that enhances rather than interrupts, and they curate playlists that match the establishment's brand identity. If you manage a hospitality venue and are looking for regular or ad-hoc piano entertainment, we can provide reliable, professional pianists on a recurring basis.
Pianist-Vocalist Duo
Several of our pianists are also accomplished vocalists, offering a complete piano-vocal performance that doubles the entertainment value. A pianist-singer can perform everything from Frank Sinatra and Norah Jones to Adele and Sam Smith, delivering both the instrumental beauty and the emotional impact of the vocals. This combination is particularly popular for intimate weddings, jazz evenings, cocktail parties and private dinners where a single performer needs to carry the entire musical programme. For events that need more presence, we can pair a pianist with a dedicated vocalist, creating a dynamic duo that covers a wider range of material with even greater impact.
Grand Piano vs. Keyboard. What Works Best
The choice between a grand piano and a portable keyboard depends on your venue and event type. A grand piano delivers the richest, most resonant sound and makes a stunning visual statement. Many luxury hotels and event venues have house pianos that our pianists are happy to use. If your venue does not have a piano or if space is limited, our pianists bring premium digital keyboards with weighted keys and authentic sound profiles that closely replicate the grand piano experience. Digital keyboards also offer advantages: they never need tuning, they can be amplified easily and they are suitable for outdoor events. We will advise on the best option for your specific venue and requirements.
Repertoire Range and Custom Song Requests
Our pianists maintain repertoires spanning hundreds of songs across every major genre. Classical favourites include Beethoven, Chopin, Debussy, Liszt and Rachmaninoff. Jazz standards feature Gershwin, Cole Porter, Duke Ellington and Bill Evans. Pop and contemporary covers include songs by Ed Sheeran, Coldplay, Adele, Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift, John Legend, Billy Joel and Elton John. For Chinese events, our pianists perform C-pop hits and traditional melodies. Bollywood, K-pop and anime soundtracks are also available. If you have a specific song that is not in the repertoire, our pianists are happy to learn it with adequate notice, typically one to two weeks for a standard arrangement.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do your pianists bring their own instrument?
Our pianists can use a venue's grand or upright piano, or bring a premium portable keyboard with professional amplification. Digital keyboards are ideal for outdoor events and venues without a house piano. We will discuss the best option based on your venue setup and preferences.
What genres can your pianists play?
Classical, jazz, pop, R&B, Bollywood, Chinese pop, K-pop, Broadway, film soundtracks and more. Most of our pianists are versatile multi-genre performers with repertoires of 300+ songs. They can also learn new pieces with one to two weeks' notice.
Can a pianist also sing?
Yes, several of our pianists are accomplished vocalists who deliver piano-vocal performances covering classic and contemporary hits. A pianist-singer is a fantastic option for intimate weddings, jazz evenings and cocktail parties where you want a complete musical experience from a single performer.
How much space does a pianist need?
A portable keyboard setup requires approximately 1.5 metres by 1 metre of floor space, plus access to a power outlet. A grand piano obviously needs more room. We will coordinate with your venue to ensure proper placement for both sound quality and visual impact.
Can a pianist perform outdoors?
Yes, our pianists regularly perform at outdoor weddings, garden parties and poolside events using digital keyboards. These instruments are weather-resistant, never need tuning and can be amplified for any venue size. We recommend a covered or shaded area for the pianist's comfort during Singapore's warm weather.
How far in advance should I book a pianist?
We recommend booking at least two to four weeks ahead. For peak dates like weekends in November and December, Valentine's Day and Chinese New Year, earlier booking is advisable. Contact us to check availability.
What is the cost of hiring a pianist in Singapore?
Pricing depends on the duration, whether a vocalist is included, the day of the week and any special requirements. We provide transparent, customised quotes within 24 hours. Contact us with your event details for a no-obligation estimate.
