Hiring a magician for a kids' party in Singapore adds a unique element of fun and wonder. Prices for these acts vary based on several factors, including the magician's experience, show duration, and additional offerings. Understanding these elements helps you budget effectively for your event.
We have worked with many skilled children's magicians for parties across Singapore, from HDB void decks to private clubhouses and hotel function rooms. This guide provides clear price ranges and what to expect when booking kids' party entertainment.
Standard Magician Packages and Pricing
A basic magic show for a kids' party typically ranges from SGD 350 to SGD 700. This price usually covers a 30 to 45 minute performance. Magicians often bring their own sound system and props for these shows.
For a more interactive experience, some packages include balloon sculpting or simple face painting after the magic show. These enhanced packages might cost SGD 500 to SGD 900 for a total duration of 60 to 90 minutes. Booking a magician for an hour and a half ensures plenty of entertainment value for the young audience.
Factors Influencing Magician Costs
The magician's experience level significantly impacts their rates. Highly sought-after magicians with extensive experience and a proven track record may charge SGD 600 to SGD 1,200 for a standard show. Newer talents might offer rates closer to SGD 300 to SGD 500.
Show complexity also plays a role. Standard shows are generally age-appropriate for 4 to 10 year olds. Custom-themed shows or more elaborate illusions will incur higher fees. Travel distance within Singapore is rarely an additional charge, but specific venue requirements like parking fees might be passed on.
Add-On Entertainment Options
Beyond the core magic act, many magicians offer popular add-ons. Balloon sculpting can be a standalone activity or an extension to a magic show, typically adding SGD 150 to SGD 300 to the total cost. This extra often extends the engagement by 30 to 60 minutes.
Some magicians also provide simple party games or host the cake-cutting ceremony. Including these services often means booking for a longer block, perhaps 90 minutes, for a total cost between SGD 600 and SGD 1,000. Consider kids party entertainers for a complete party solution.
Booking Tips for Your Kids' Party Magician
Book your magician at least 4 to 6 weeks in advance, especially for weekend parties or during peak seasons like school holidays. Popular dates, such as those around Christmas or Children's Day, get filled quickly. Confirm the show's suitability for your child's age group.
Always request a clear breakdown of services and costs in the contract. A 50% deposit is standard practice to confirm the booking. Ensure the performance area is suitable, requiring at least a 2x2 meter space for the act.
